Newport Cricket Club

All Stars Cricket provides boys and girls from 5-8 years old with non-stop fun. The activity and game based programme is suitable for all skill levels, providing your child with the foundations to begin a lifelong love of physical activity and cricket, while making friends in a safe and enjoyable environment.

Newport Cricket Club has an excellent reputation for its work with young cricketers and is pleased to announce that in partnership with ECB and Cricket Wales, the 2024 All Stars Cricket Programme for 5 - 8 year olds (Boys & Girls) will be delivered at the Club this summer. Fully qualified Club coaches will conduct the sessions, giving children a first enjoyable experience of the game of Cricket. The emphasis of All Stars Cricket is to have fun whilst learning to play the game in a safe, friendly and inclusive environment. Each session of the 8-week programme will give children the basic skills they need to develop a lifelong love of cricket.

Did you know parents and guardians can get involved and play cricket with their children too? It's a great way to spend time with your child and create memories that will last a lifetime. Parent activators (helpers) will support the fully accredited lead Activator in delivering the sessions, supporting and encouraging children as they learn new skills. It's completely optional and you do not need to be a cricket expert to be involved.
